Boise, Idaho - Vessel, a Veteran-owned mission-driven company driving fortitude and dominance for U.S. manufacturers through a full suite of technology, is thrilled to welcome Caleb Sherfick aboard as our new Lead Software Engineer.


Caleb Sherfick is an ambitious software developer with a passion for problem solving and a commitment to building impactful tools. 


Most recently serving as a Lead Software Engineer with a well-known national trucking and transportation software company, Caleb brings years of experience in supply chain technology and optimization. An expert in building back-end programming, workflows, and functional systems, Caleb will bring his expertise in coding, testing, and integration to the development team’s growing portfolio of custom-built software.


Caleb earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Boise State University, where he then turned his interests towards technology participating in a Full Stack Immersive Program gaining a variety of technical skills and certifications.

With Vessel’s mission to bolster U.S. Manufacturing through software solutions custom built for manufacturers, Manufacturing Extension Partnerships (MEP) and similar organizations, Caleb’s expertise will be instrumental to our combined efforts to reshore and provide supply chain resilience across our nation.


Outside of work, Caleb loves to travel with his family and is a proud husband to his wife Katie and father to their 2 year old son Kai, with another baby on the way later this year!

With years of direct supply chain software expertise, Derek will focus on building robust software frameworks, refining software engineering principles, and devising a repeatable methodology that aligns with Vessel's mission to enhance economic impact at all levels through a comprehensive supply chain program.  Derek’s leadership will spearhead our technology team towards achieving impact with precision and efficiency, leveraging a full suite of technology that integrates seamlessly into existing operations of Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Centers and industry associations.
